International House (IH) is a global network of language schools founded in 1953, with 150 affiliated schools in over 50 countries. All IH schools are independently owned and managed, committed to the highest standards of language education, both face-to-face and online.

The network’s schools teach English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, and a variety of other languages. They train approximately half of all CELTA course graduates worldwide, with over 200,000 students and employing more than 5,800 teachers.

The IH World Organisation serves as the central office for the IH network, managing the IH brand, working with affiliated schools, developing the quality scheme, and ensuring that these standards are met through regular inspections. Additionally, it provides recruitment services, organizes annual conferences, and offers online training courses for teachers.
